Getting Started

Step 1: Meet the Requirements

To qualify for a Peak Rescue paramedic position, applicants must hold:

Florida Paramedic Certification

  • Completion of a state-approved Paramedic program

  • Successful completion of the National Registry Paramedic (NRP) exam or Florida certification process

Local training options include:

Applicants must also:

  • Possess a valid Florida driver’s license

  • Meet HCFR employment standards, including background, medical, and drug screening requirements

Step 2: Prepare for the Hiring Process 

Peak Rescue hiring follows HCFR’s standard selection process and includes:

  1. Application Submission – Applications accepted during open recruitment periods

  2. Interview – Participation in an oral interview panel

  3. Screening – Background investigation, medical evaluation, and drug screening

Step 3: Understand the Benefits
