HCFR’s Emergency Management team plays a crucial role in safeguarding our community before, during, and after disasters. These professionals plan, coordinate, and lead efforts that ensure Hillsborough County is ready for any emergency, from hurricanes and floods to large-scale public safety incidents.

Emergency Management personnel work behind the scenes and in the field to strengthen preparedness, support first responders, and help residents recover when it matters most.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement emergency plans, policies, and procedures

• Coordinate disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts

• Support operations during large-scale incidents and activations

• Collaborate with local, state, and federal partners to enhance resilience

• Educate and engage the community on emergency readiness
