Meet the basic eligibility requirements
Obtain required certifications
To qualify for an entry-level firefighter position with HCFR, you must hold the following certifications:Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance: This involves completing the Firefighter Minimum Standards Course (Firefighter I and II) at a certified training center and passing the state written and practical examinations.

Interview: Participation in an oral interview board.
Screening: Undergoing a background investigation, medical examination, and drug screening.
