Be the vital link between the public and emergency responders.
As a 911 Telecommunicator, you’ll serve as the first point of contact in emergencies—receiving, evaluating, and dispatching calls for fire and emergency medical services. You’ll guide callers through critical situations, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate an effective response to keep both the public and first responders safe.
This role requires professionalism, clear communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will receive extensive classroom and hands-on training in emergency communications systems, call handling, and dispatch procedures.
What You’ll Do:
Receive and triage 911 and non-emergency calls
Use advanced communication and mapping systems to locate incidents
Dispatch fire and EMS units and track responder safety
Provide lifesaving instructions over the phone
Coordinate with other agencies and emergency partners
